Liquid Diet … the next Spaceballs?

A critic who shall remain anonymous, wrote a less than flattering review of LIQUID DIET & MIDNIGHT SNACK. Here is my favorite part of the review: “I wonder if stand-alone parody would not have been the better target genre for LIQUID DIET & MIDNIGHT SNACK. After all, McCarty mocks quite nicely the established greats of the vampire variety by loosely imitating the “Interview with the Vampire.” Am I mincing words here? Perhaps; yet after reading LIQUID DIET & MIDNIGHT SNACK you would have to agree that it is closer to ‘Space Balls’ than Horatian or Juvenalian satire.”

The reviewer compared me to Mel Brooks … as a put down. I’m on seventh heaven. I love Mel Brooks’ movies … Spaceballs, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Silent Movie … he is a genuis! So if there any other reviewers out there who want to put my work down by comparing it to Mel Brooks …. go ahead
