MIKE & CINDY’S DATE NIGHT FOR WEIRDOS
by Cindy & Michael McCarty

Love is in the air and so are the bats. It is the Season of the Witch, so cast your love spells and cuddle on the sofa with your ghoul-friend, guy-fiend or significant other-thing…. and stick one of these movies into your VCR, DVD player, beta-player, streaming device or whatever you kids have today:

  1. Going Ape For His Girl….

KING KONG (1933)

Bruce Cabot, Fay Wray

the first remake….

KING KONG (1976)

Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange

… and let’s not talk about all the other ones after that

King Kong just wants to “monkey around” with Fay Wray (in the original) and Jessica Lange in the remake. He goes on a date with her on Skull Island and shows her an exciting time in the Big Apple … falls in love and then falls off the Empire State Building in the original and the World Trade Center Towers in the remake.

“It was beauty that killed the beast.”

Poor beast.

3) They were made for each other … literally

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)

Frankenstein’s monster needs a date … even a mate …. but Eharmony wasn’t invented yet. So Dr. Frankenstein creates the woman of his dreams for the monster…

the problem… she just isn’t that into him …in fact, she likes the doctor better … women always go for the doctors … LOL

The Bride of Frankenstein starts to bobble like a swan and even screams like a banshee after meeting the monster.

The monster, heartbroken says, “We belong dead….”

And the house comes tumbling down — another heartache and destruction for the monster….

4) Love at first bite
